THE STAFF OF LIFE
On a recent shoot, I photographed this beautiful bread, made by the good people at the Welbeck Bakery in Nottinghamshire.
I just spent a week in Spain with someone who has, only recently, realised that she can no longer eat wheat. The thought of this horrifies me. I LOVE bread, and eat far too much of it. The bacon sandwich they made me for my breakfast with the white bread shown here was as close to perfect as you’ll ever get…luvly!!!
Incidentally, maybe one day I’ll get a client who will let me shoot in a swanky studio somewhere cool and groovy like Shoreditch. These pics? Shot round the back of the bakery on some upturned crates…in the drizzle. It’s tough being me sometimes!
